Responsibilities
As a Housing Support Worker at South Burnett CTC Inc, you will be responsible for:
- Engaging with clients (with a focus on young people) to ensure their needs are heard and respected
- Supporting clients in maintaining their tenancy and preventing homelessness
- Developing personalised plans and providing ongoing guidance to achieve housing stability
- Assisting clients in building skills necessary for successful tenancy
- Processing referrals and maintaining accurate case notes
- Networking with relevant services to provide comprehensive support
Qualifications and Experience
We are seeking candidates with:
- Qualifications in community work, human services, or related fields
- Experience in supporting clients with complex needs
- Familiarity with rental, housing, and employment assistance systems
- Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with diverse client populations
Experience with Queensland Homelessness Information Platform (QHIP) and tenancy support programs is desirable.
Salary & Benefits
Level 3 ($45.00) as per the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (SCHCADS), plus salary packaging benefits.
