Housing Support Worker

  • Engage with clients to provide support and guidance in maintaining secure housing
  • Assist clients in navigating rental, housing, employment, and Centrelink systems
  • Develop and implement individualised support plans to promote housing stability
  • Collaborate with internal and external services to provide comprehensive wrap-around support

Responsibilities

As a Housing Support Worker at South Burnett CTC Inc, you will be responsible for:

  • Engaging with clients (with a focus on young people) to ensure their needs are heard and respected
  • Supporting clients in maintaining their tenancy and preventing homelessness
  • Developing personalised plans and providing ongoing guidance to achieve housing stability
  • Assisting clients in building skills necessary for successful tenancy
  • Processing referrals and maintaining accurate case notes
  • Networking with relevant services to provide comprehensive support

Qualifications and Experience

We are seeking candidates with:

  • Qualifications in community work, human services, or related fields
  • Experience in supporting clients with complex needs
  • Familiarity with rental, housing, and employment assistance systems
  • Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with diverse client populations

Experience with Queensland Homelessness Information Platform (QHIP) and tenancy support programs is desirable.

Salary & Benefits

Level 3 ($45.00) as per the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (SCHCADS), plus salary packaging benefits.
