Our offices are located in Kingaroy, Wondai, Nanango, and Murgon, allowing us to effectively serve the South Burnett region.

Position Overview

The Property Officer plays a vital role in coordinating property, tenancy, and asset management functions across CTC's property portfolio. This position is key in overseeing leasing and tenancy processes, coordinating maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with relevant obligations, all while fostering positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

The Property Officer will be expected to:

  • Manage residential and commercial tenancy arrangements, ensuring compliance with legislative and organisational requirements
  • Oversee leasing activities, maintaining accurate tenancy records and documentation
  • Conduct property inspections to identify maintenance and compliance issues, implementing follow-up actions as necessary
  • Coordinate maintenance and property service activities, ensuring timely completion of works
  • Monitor contractor performance and property conditions, escalating significant risks as needed
  • Support the planning of capital works and property-related projects
  • Develop effective relationships with tenants, housing providers, and contractors to enhance service delivery
  • Prepare tenancy-related documentation and assist in tenancy disputes within delegated authority
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of property and maintenance staff, promoting accountability and service outcomes
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to compliance reporting and planning activities

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a mix of qualifications and experience that align with the responsibilities outlined above. They should be able to demonstrate:

  • Certificate IV in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
  • Experience in administration, tenancy, housing, or property management
  • Knowledge of legislative and compliance processes
  • Strong relationship-building skills with clients, tenants, and stakeholders
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and information management systems
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion

Cultural awareness and a commitment to upholding the principles of CTC's Cultural Working Document is essential. Candidates must also be flexible with working hours to meet organisational needs.

Salary & Benefits

This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $46.70, in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (SCHADS) Social and Community Services Worker Level 4. Salary packaging options are available to enhance your overall remuneration.
