Position Overview

As a Disability Support Worker in our Supported Independent Living (SIL) home, you will play a vital role in providing high‑quality care and empowering participants to live as independently as possible. Working closely with the SIL Home team, you will support participants to work toward their NDIS goals while fostering the development of everyday living skills in a safe and encouraging environment. This role involves actively contributing to the daily operations of the household and collaborating with colleagues to create a positive, enriching living experience for all participants.

Candidate Profile

We’re seeking a qualified, compassionate individual who can provide safe, respectful, and effective support.
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or actively working towards a relevant qualification
  • Demonstrated experience providing personal care and behaviour support to participants in a Supported Independent Living (SIL) setting
  • Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of participants 

Pattern of Work

  • Permanent Part-Time position available as either:
    • One employee working 144 hours per 28-day lifestyle roster, or
    • Two employees working an alternating week-on/week-off rotating roster (72 hours) within the 28-day cycle

Shift Hours: Day Shift (6am - 4pm) | Night Shift (4pm - 6am - including a sleepover period)

144 hours per 28-day cycle pattern of work: 

  • Week 1
    Monday to Wednesday (Day)
    Friday to Sunday (Night)
  • Week 2
    Friday to Sunday (Night)
  • Week 3
    Tuesday to Thursday (Night)
    Sunday (Day)
  • Week 4
    Monday and Tuesday (Day)
    Thursday to Saturday (Night)
    Total Hours: 144

72 hours per 28-day cycle pattern of work
Option (A):

  • Week 1
    Monday to Wednesday (Day)
    Friday to Sunday (Night)

Salary & Benefits

This permanent part-time position offers a competitive salary in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (SCHADS) at Level 2, ranging from $34.58 to $37.73 per hour, along with salary packaging options available.
