Acting Hostel Coordinator

We are seeking internal expressions of interest for an Acting Hostel Coordinator for the period 23 December 2025 to 5 January 2026.
Please note: availability for the entire period is required.

This position will be offered on a part-time or casual basis, approximately 60 hours per fortnight.

The successful applicant will be required to cover the duties outlined in the Hostel Coordinator position description. Specifically, the successful applicant will be required to:

  • Be on-call and available to provide advice and support to staff working at the Youth Hostel
  • Manage rosters, specifically filling roster gaps where required
  • Review and approve timesheets, alongside the Team Leader
  • Complete weekly medication audits, ensuring medication notes and log books are accurate and updated at the end of each week
  • Conduct database checks to ensure notes are completed and information is up to date
  • Ensure WHS checks and inspections are completed
  • Negotiate any exceptions to curfews or house rules, and approve Hostel leave
  • Take the lead on accommodation agreement renewals or re-entries if required

This acting position will be remunerated under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award at Crisis Accommodation Worker Level 2.1 – $44.58 per hour.
