About South Burnett CTC Inc.
South Burnett CTC Inc. is a not-for-profit community organisation committed to providing support and services to disadvantaged individuals across various demographics. Our programs span Foster Care, Residential Care, Youth & Family Services, and Disability Services, operating from multiple locations within the South Burnett area.
The Reconnect program specifically focuses on offering early intervention services to assist young people aged 12 to 18 years who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of homelessness. Our goal is to stabilise their living situation and enhance their engagement with family, education, and community resources.
Position Overview
The Youth Worker for the Reconnect program will play a vital role in providing support to young people and their families. This position requires a proactive approach to outreach and engagement, ensuring timely assistance for those in need. The Youth Worker will deliver individual support and group programs for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in youth work or community services, with demonstrated experience in addressing complex issues such as homelessness and mental health. Candidates should be culturally sensitive and capable of delivering programs that resonate with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
- Qualification in Youth Work, Community Services, or similar
- Experience engaging with young people facing complex challenges
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with community and service stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously

Salary & Benefits
This role offers a competitive hourly rate of $38.65, in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (SCHCADS) Level 3, along with opportunities for salary packaging.
