South Burnett CTC Inc (CTC) is a not-for-profit community organisation committed to supporting disadvantaged individuals and families across various services. 

Our focus on culturally appropriate services ensures we meet the needs of diverse populations we help, particularly in the Cherbourg community where our youth programs are actively engaged.

 

Youth Worker (Kickstarter) 

  • Full-Time rate of $38.65 per hour, based on the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (SCHADS) at Level 3.1. Employees may also benefit from salary packaging options.

You will focus on giving individualised support and peer group activities for at-risk youth. In this role, you will create and implementing effective case plans, hold group activities, and foster positive relationships with young people.

The successful person is responsible for making sure young people get the guidance and resources necessary to reconnect with their communities, educational opportunities, and essential living skills.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to community service and a passion for working with young people. You should demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Qualifications in Youth Work, Community Services, or a related field.
  • Experience in engaging young people and delivering culturally appropriate support.
  • Strong understanding of personal and professional boundaries.
  • Ability to work with families, community members, and service providers.
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply.
