About South Burnett CTC Inc
South Burnett CTC Inc (CTC) is a not-for-profit community organisation that provides essential support services to disadvantaged individuals and families across various domains, including Foster Care, Youth & Family Services, and Domestic Violence Services. With a strong presence across the South Burnett area, our dedicated teams operate from Kingaroy, Wondai, Nanango, and Murgon.
Our RENEW Intensive Family Support program is designed to assist families facing multiple complex challenges, ensuring they receive the support needed to prevent Child Protection interventions and promote healthier family dynamics.
Position Overview
The Family Support Practitioner plays a crucial role in enhancing the safety and wellbeing of children through tailored, family-led case planning. By delivering practical in-home support and utilising evidence-based parenting programs, you will help families navigate their challenges and achieve their goals.
This position requires a commitment to working closely with families, engaging them through in-home visits, and coordinating with various service providers to ensure comprehensive support. As a lead case manager, you will collaborate with stakeholders, maintain thorough documentation, and participate in regular supervision and practise reflections.
Candidate Profile
To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field
- Experience working with complex family issues, including domestic violence and mental health
- Strong ability to engage with hard-to-reach families and develop rapport
- Proficiency in case documentation and safety assessments
- Understanding of relevant legislation, including the Child Protection Act and Domestic Violence Prevention Act
- Current Queensland Driver's Licence, First Aid, and CPR Certificates
- Ability to work flexibly and manage time effectively to meet client needs

Salary & Benefits
This position is subject to the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010, with a pay rate of $43.08 per hour plus salary packaging options available. Additional benefits include ongoing professional development, supervision, and a supportive work environment.
