South Burnett CTC Inc (CTC) is a not-for-profit community organisation dedicated to providing support to disadvantaged individuals of all backgrounds and ages. Our services span across areas such as Foster Care, Youth & Family Services, and Disability Services, operating in various locations in the South Burnett region.
Responsibilities:
As a Youth Worker - Bail Support, you will:
- Engage with young people and families through culturally appropriate tools, including group support
- Collaborate with Cherbourg Elders and community members to develop and deliver programs
- Maintain a strong relationship with Cherbourg Youth Justice and other support services in the South Burnett
- Develop and deliver programs to meet the specific needs of clients, including after-hours support
- Complete risk assessments and post-program evaluations for continuous improvement
- Ensure accurate documentation of all activities
- Develop case plans and safety plans with a focus on holistic support
- Provide watchhouse support to young people and families as required, including after-hours and weekends
Preferred Skills:
- Qualifications in Youth Work, Community Service, or related field
- Industry experience in Child Protection, Human Services, or relevant sectors
- Ability to engage with and support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families
- Established networks with government and non-government organisations in the South Burnett region
- Experience in developing and delivering programs for young people
Salary & Benefits:
Level 3 of the SCHADS Industry Award ($37.35 per hour) + salary packaging
