South Burnett CTC Inc (CTC) is a not-for-profit community organisation dedicated to providing support to disadvantaged individuals of all backgrounds and ages. Our services span across areas such as Foster Care, Youth & Family Services, and Disability Services, operating in various locations in the South Burnett region.

Responsibilities:

As a Youth Worker - Bail Support, you will:

  • Engage with young people and families through culturally appropriate tools, including group support
  • Collaborate with Cherbourg Elders and community members to develop and deliver programs
  • Maintain a strong relationship with Cherbourg Youth Justice and other support services in the South Burnett
  • Develop and deliver programs to meet the specific needs of clients, including after-hours support
  • Complete risk assessments and post-program evaluations for continuous improvement
  • Ensure accurate documentation of all activities
  • Develop case plans and safety plans with a focus on holistic support
  • Provide watchhouse support to young people and families as required, including after-hours and weekends

Preferred Skills:

  • Qualifications in Youth Work, Community Service, or related field
  • Industry experience in Child Protection, Human Services, or relevant sectors
  • Ability to engage with and support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families
  • Established networks with government and non-government organisations in the South Burnett region
  • Experience in developing and delivering programs for young people

Salary & Benefits:

Level 3 of the SCHADS Industry Award ($37.35 per hour) + salary packaging
