About Wondin-dee Domestic and Family Violence Specialist Service
The Wondin-dee Domestic and Family Violence Specialist Service is dedicated to providing support to individuals impacted by domestic and family violence in Cherbourg and the South Burnett region. We prioritize safety and wellbeing through a client-centered approach focused on empowering individuals to achieve their safety and support goals.
Responsibilities of the Role
As the Domestic and Family Violence HRT Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the South Burnett High Risk Team's responses to cases of high and imminent domestic and family violence risk. Your role involves ensuring seamless interagency collaboration, meeting regulatory requirements, and supporting clients effectively.
You will collaborate with the CTC Domestic and Family Violence Team to deliver services tailored to clients facing high-risk situations. Additionally, your work will involve engaging with stakeholders across the sector to promote awareness and establish a unified approach to combating domestic and family violence in the South Burnett area.
Qualifications and Experience
To excel in this role, you should possess a minimum 3-year degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent experience coupled with relevant qualifications. You must demonstrate a thorough understanding of key legislation such as the Domestic and Family Violence Protection Act 2012 and the Child Protection Act 1999. Proficiency in information sharing protocols, risk assessment frameworks, and High Risk Team guidelines is essential.
Salary & Benefits
You will receive an hourly rate of $47.50 (Level 5 of the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010), along with opportunities for salary packaging.
