  • Engage with and support individuals and couples who are homeless
  • Support individuals and couples who are homeless through brokerage and case management
  • Work collaboratively with accommodation providers including hotels, motels, real estates and public and community housing providers

South Burnett CTC Inc (CTC) is a not-for-profit community organisation providing support to disadvantaged people of all backgrounds and ages in areas including Foster Care, Residential Care, Youth & Family Services, Domestic and Family Violence Services, Disability Services and our Gumnut Place Social Enterprise. We provide a range of services through the South Burnett area with teams operating from Kingaroy, Wondai, Nanango and Murgon.

Position Description

As a Housing Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in engaging with clients, and providing essential support to individuals and couples experiencing homelessness. Your responsibilities include assisting clients in accessing short-term accommodations, developing personalised plans, and helping them navigate housing systems to secure, safe and sustainable housing.

Candidate Profile

  • Qualifications in community work, community development, human services or related fields
  • Experience in community engagement and social work
  • Ability to actively engage with complex clients
  • Familiarity with rental, housing, and employment assistant and Centrelink systems is desirable

Salary and Benefits 

Level 3 ($36.00 per hour) as per the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (SCHCADS), plus salary packaging benefits.
